TAS Tours

All European and Overseas TAS tours are listed together as “TAS TOURS”. All TAS Tours are for Members only and are operated in conjunction with Airlines, Tour Operators and Travel Agents carrying the appropriate licences for group travel. It is a condition of travel that all persons who book on a TAS Tour arrange their own Travel Insurance.    

"Fully refundable deposits" – When a TAS Tour is advertised with a provisional price and itinerary, we will invite members to send in a deposit which, is fully refundable only in the following circumstances:- When the actual price and itinerary is published and the member no longer wishes to participate for any reason whatsoever the deposit will be refunded. However, if the member confirms his participation in the trip after the actual price and itinerary are published the deposit then becomes non-refundable.  

"Non-returnable deposit" – When a TAS Tour is advertised with a definitive price and date the deposit is non refundable. Note:- in all circumstances, if the trip does not take place all deposits will be refunded

**To travel on TAS Tours you have to be a TAS member**  

The Aviation Society is pleased to announce a return to the East Coast of Canada and the USA departing Manchester on 15th April 2018.  The trip will be of 13 nights (14 days duration) and will consist of the following itinerary:

Departing Manchester on the morning of Sunday 15th April 2018, we will route via London Heathrow for our Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight to Toronto Pearson where we will be staying for 3 nights in the Sheraton Gateway Toronto Airport Hotel last visited by the Society in September 2011. This hotel is located within the terminal building and offers excellent views across a large part of the airfield as well as the Westjet gates and is within walking distance of a number of excellent spotting and photographic locations.

Leaving Toronto with American Airlines on the morning of Wednesday 18th April, we will head down to New York where we will be staying for 4 nights at the Courtyard La Guardia Airport Hotel which is located adjacent to the holding point of Runway 04 at La Guardia.  Whilst here we will be using rental vehicles to visit a number of the surrounding airports including JFK, Newark and Teterboro.

At the end of our stay in New York we will again travel with American Airlines this time to Miami, Florida.  Departing on the morning of Sunday 22nd April we will be staying for 6 nights in the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel which is located on Blue Lagoon Drive a short walk away from the famous 94th Squadron Restaurant just off the airport Perimeter Road. Once again, we will be using rental vehicles to visit the many and varied airfields in and around Miami including Fort Lauderdale International, Fort Lauderdale Executive, Opa Locka, Timiami and West Palm Beach to name but a few.

At the conclusion of our trip we will depart Miami late evening on Saturday 28th April aboard a British Airways A380 via London Heathrow to Manchester arriving mid-afternoon on Sunday 29th April.

The cost of this trip inclusive of all flights, accommodation on a room only basis, car hire and taxes will be £2,249 pp based on sharing a twin bedded room or double room in the case of couples.

If you require a room of your own, there will be a single room supplement of £750.

Places are limited and members are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Booking – Members wishing to secure a place on this trip are required to send in a non-refundable deposit of £300 made payable to "The Aviation Society" to the address below and include TAS membership number, email address and telephone number for confirmation.  Please remember to enclose an SAE.  All this information is essential for your application, places cannot be reserved in any other way.
